Hi, I always used to get stuck doing 1500m and 800m on sports day (and they were usually right after each other!), and while I'm sporty, I'm not a runner. Remember it's only about 10 minutes of running at most (probably more like 7 or 8), don't go too fast at the start and keep your breathing regular and controlled. If you've got more left in the tank on the last lap/half lap, up the pace. Might help to run (or even walk) a practice 1500m so you know roughly how far it is.

Don't go out too fast; remember how many laps it is and how far one lap is!
Make sure you stay hydrated!!! Obviously don't go glugging a load of water before you run though
Fuel! Like a car can't go without petrol/diesel, a person (or any living thing) cannot run (or move or be alive) if they've hardly eaten anything. Make sure you have a good breakfast (but something you're used to don't go trying new things before you run), as well as some sort of snack before you run banana, cereal bar, whatever has good carbs and you enjoy.
Have a decent night's sleep!
Do a bit of warming up a short jog, some mobility stretches etc.
After rehydrate, refuel, gentle cool down/stretch it is important to look after your body!
Wear clothes and shoes suitable for running! So probably don't attempt to run in a tracksuit/hoodie, especially in this weather
And save a bit of juice in your legs for the last bit! Sprint (or slightly faster run) finish! Feels fantastic to finish strong!

Good luck

Any tips for a sprinter who is attempting a 1500m in a week?!

As above, don’t go out too fast you want to start at a pace that feels comfortable to maintain for the whole distance. If you’re used to sprinting it’ll feel really slow, so it might be a good idea to practise (if you’re able) to get a feel of how long it is/what kind of pace is comfortable for you.

Like you would for a 400 m, you’re not going to be going at quite the same intensity as you would for a 100 m. Same applies for longer stuff but it’s a few more laps and not quite so anaerobic
