I really think it depends - the same person can have interviewed several people, and they have to write up their notes in addition to getting results from other assessment exercises. While some people do hear on the same day, many more people will hear the day after or after a couple of days. Hold tight and don't worry about it until you actually know.

It can vary greatly. I know that at me assessment day with KPMG last year they didnt respond to any candidates until about a week later at the earliest. We had been told we would hear quite quickly, but after waiting a week and having another more attractive offer I contacted them to tell them I no longer wanted my application to be considered. Their reply was a generic 'out of the office between these dates' email. Turns out the HR person dealing with some of us had gone on holiday and so the people she dealt with had not heard of their progress! Ending up getting another email from someone else apologising and asking if I would reconsider my offer but I declined.

Good luck with the wait, I know how you feel!

I was on my way back from the office when my interviewer called my house. I suppose it will depend on how many people there were as to how long it takes them to make decisions and contact people. There were only four people at my assessment centre so it would have been fairly quick for them to decide and contact us.
