There was an infamous quote by one of the behaviourists; I believe it was Skinner which went along the lines of

"Give me a child of average intelligence and ability, and I can turn them into anything I want."

It was probably more eloquently put than that; have a nosy on google.

No worries, but be careful using it because Skinner (if thats who said it) was notoriously taken out of context and misrepresented in textbooks (according to some guy who lectured us a while back who actually worked with him in real life).

It's okay. Kind of lame in places, especially the social side. I don't start my Clinical year until 3rd though.

    Watson perhaps? He said:
Give me a dozen healthy infants, well-formed, and my own specified world to bring them up in and I'll guarantee to take any one at random and train him to become any type of specialist I might select – doctor, lawyer, artist, merchant-chief and, yes, even beggar-man and thief, regardless of his talents, penchants, tendencies, abilities, vocations, and race of his ancestors. I am going beyond my facts and I admit it, but so have the advocates of the contrary and they have been doing it for many thousands of years.

Ah, yes! It was Watson! My apologies, I wasn't entirely sure.
