Hey @anmolsahani
Whilst I don't study Financial Analysis, I figured I could give an overview of what life at Lancaster is like.

Lancaster is a campus uni, and you can easily get to town by bus (takes 10-20 minutes normally). On campus, there are lots of places to eat, socialise (including 8 college bars), as well as all of the academic buildings and lots of accommodation. The library is also pretty cool- we have a tree called Norma in it and lots of different study spaces. We are a collegiate uni, meaning everyone is split down into colleges (like Hogwarts houses I guess?). However, colleges are there from a social, support and accommodation standpoint more than anything else, no matter what college you are in you can use other collages' facilities and attend most of their events. Colleges also have Extravs at the end of the year currently, which is like a themed celebration party. As you're applying for a Masters degree, you would be in Grad College. More on collages here https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/about-us/colleges/

There are also so many societies to choose from, over 200 in fact! I personally play rugby and love it. If you are into sports, we also have the biggest varsity competition in Europe every year- ROSES!! This is against York and I played this year and have never felt an atmosphere like it, it was incredible! Most clubs and societies hold socials as well, drinking and sober, as well as joint-socials with other societies.

Lancaster admittedly is not the biggest city, but it is so well connected to other big cities, such as Liverpool and Manchester by train. You can also easily get to the Lake District for a chilled day out. In the city itself, we have shops to cover all your needs, as well as different venues to socialise, including a Vue cinema. Our student club is in town -Sugarhouse. We also have Williamson Park just outside the main city which is a great place to meet with people I find, and I love the sunsets there. Sunsets also look very pretty from Morecombe bay- a bus ride away where there are things like a bowling alley.

I personally have loved Lancaster since moving there for uni, for me, it does feel like home now.
Hope this helps in some way,
Kat
