'Cos they iz well wicked innit.
But in all seriousness, depending on the type of newspaper (broadsheet, tabloid), they either see what they want to see (and believe what they want to believe). So they hear about a gang crime and a kid getting best grades in the country. They would rather put the gang crime in the papers.

6.Do you believe knife crime is glorified in the media? (e.g through films)
    No

    Why?
Its not too unlike real life...

    7. Do you believe the use of the word gang encourages crime?
    Yes

    Why?
Peer pressure influenced by the media. Rebelling against what is "right".

8.Do you think that there is more negative reportings of teenagers than positive?
    Yes

    Yes

    No

    11. Do you think that the media is responsible for creating this stereotype?
Yes and no. A joint effort between actual yobs/chavs and the media

    12. Do you have any other views on this topic???
The government don't put enough pressure on kids to learn (and they don't want to). They would rather have a flock of sheep for a nation that does what it's told, than an intelligent generation that can think outside the box and possible overthrow the big companies than control the world.
