Asked for "Evidence of Compelling Personal Reasons" on application watch

    • Thread Starter

I am in the application for Student Financial help from my LEA but Student Direct are asking me for Evidence of Compelling Personal Reasons as I withdrew from my previous course during the 1st year as it wasnt the right course for me.

This was June 2007, I have been out of uni since then and I am on a new course so I cant talk to my old tutor about my concerns and how to go about it. Does anyone have any advice?

You don't really need to do that. Glasgow setup the system to automatically ask, but LEA's will only need evidence if it was for something like illness or bereavement as to why you left previously.

The only effect it has is that you've now used up your +1 year, so if you change courses again now or have to repeat, you won't get any help with fees unless there was one of the reasons I just mentioned.
