    ..Let's say you do a journalism degree and get a very good grade, what kinda postgrad studies can you do ?

    does it have to be limited to the journalism area ?

    People do change fields at postgraduate level, but sometimes there can be restrictions (a doubt a journalism degree would get you onto genetics courses). There are plenty of conversions for courses that lead to professional recognition (teaching, psychology etc). Sometimes it doesn't really matter where you are from since the course is aimed at all those who want to learn, and can cater for such differentiated teaching.

    I'm not sure why you would need a postgraduate degree if you were wanting to go into journalism - all the journalistic bodies that I've spoken to in the UK have said that an NCTJ (which you'll note isn't even an undergraduate degree) is enough.
