Hi got a letter a few back stating I haven't got placed on the merit list but passed my interview.and comp is closing in Aug unless an extension is agreed . Do you think I will be placed before the comp ends ?

You won’t be placed before august, there is people that have been waiting from last June still to be placed then the list from December. I scored pretty high up in December and to be honest not to sound negative I have put it to back of mind I wouldn’t be relying on it currently. It’s pretty depressing to be fair but would be astounded they didn’t extend the list due to all this madness so that is the only hope now for everyone.

Yes I understand. From my interview in March I am L group and merit number 19. I know that they have frozen recruitment at the minute because of the budget

The likelihood is that the competition will get extended or frozen and then we will get placed at some point in the future

Frozen recruitment and reviewing vacancies and using redeployment to fill the priority posts. Continuous recruitment is necessary, it will resume when able. Everything is to do with budget. To scrap a merit list already there would go against this. Frustrating, but if you are high on the list i cant see a scenario where you wont be placed eventually.

Not a peep, although hopefully we follow once some E01 placements are taken. 🤞

A friend of mine got their pre placement letter today also. We only interviewed in March / April. So hopefully this means there’s some movement!

I bumped into a guy in my gym that got one last week. I got an EO1 offer last week, but i'm not taking it

I finished in top 10 in December merit interviews but did not receive one, hearing it all depends on area and work pattern
