You'll need to speak with your personal tutor and/or director of studies/programme convener to discuss progression requirements, what resits may need to be done if any are permitted, and if not, potential exit awards.

It will likely vary between unis but if you failed core modules you usually can't progress to the next stage unless you pass them at one point or another. However AHP courses can sometimes have restrictions on what you can resit and how many times.

if you have failed 3 modules, you will have to resit your second year and complete the modules you failed. You can not progress onto the second year if it is more than 1 module that you failed. Don't feel bad, good things take time and I am sure you will ace the modules. I am a first-year ODP student going to my second year in September, what assignments and exams do we do? how many are they and what do they require..

Hiya!

I’m a newly qualified ODP!

I’m not 100% sure on what the next steps will be for you. I’m sure this will be dependent on the university! Have you spoken with your personal tutor and/or your course leader? They should be able to advise you on the next steps. After you know the next steps, I’d advise asking for one to one feedback on how you can avoid making the same mistakes next time round!

I personally found the second year the hardest. There’s defo a lot of pressure but it doesn’t mean you can’t do it! Whatever happens, don’t give up! Ask for advice and support where you need it. Speak to other students for advice too and make sure you leave yourself with enough time to study and complete your work.

Good luck moving forward 🙂

Sophie!
