Can one type of cell replicate into another type of cell?
yes, they can be modified to transform in the lab; for example stem cells can be transformed into nerve cells or liver cells etc...

In animals, stem cells can. However, a fat cell can’t turn into a sperm cell.
In plants, I believe cells can redifferentiate into another type of cell much longer than in animals.

Yes, they can. Stem Cells are changing as long as they are defined cells of a tissue. They are undifferentiated or partly differentiated cells and develop themselves to certain variations of cells.
