University of Sussex Applied Social Sciences Degree

Has anyone done the Applied Social Sciences undergraduate degree and if so what did you think of it? Do you think it was worthwhile?
I love sussex as a university but at other universities the degree includes introductions to politics/sociology/psychology etc giving a framework of the disciplines and then other broad modules e.g. social policy in the UK or social inequalities. However, Sussex seems to have just picked a few very specific modules e.g. madness or creating a forest garden rather than giving an overview of mental health and psychology or an overview of environmental issues in Britain. Do you feel it was the case that you only learnt in depth about a few specific areas rather than gaining a rounded overview?
