Recommendations! AQA Physics A-Level Textbook

Hi there! I'm looking for an AQA Physics A-Level textbook that is:

- suitable for self study (i.e. explains concepts comprehensibly and ideally contains exercises)
- covers the specification thoroughly including correct wording/ phrasing of definitions

Please list any textbook you would recommend that satisfies some or all of the above criteria.

Thank you in advance (*´▽`*)!

I used the Collins textbook for self-study and found its explanations clear and engaging. It also contains exercises throughout and at the end of chapters. I didn't like the online textbook supplement for the optional topic as much though, so I also used videos. I don't recall specifically how closely the definitions match the specification, but savemyexams revision notes, PMT practice questions and past papers are quite helpful for this.

I think a lot of people use the CGP textbook for self-study, so you might want to look at that one as well.

Heya! I'm not too sure about what book to recommend ( I usually used the one recommended by the school), but there are tons of free resources available which you can take advantage of as well! From personal experience, books don't always go over the material properly. Study Mind offers tons of free AQA Physics resources with separate topics and tons of revision notes to help you with your studies! I've linked the free Physics past papers but there's much more on the website so have a look around

Hope this helps and good luck!

Collins has one textbook for AS and one for A level:
https://collins.co.uk/collections/aqa-a-level-physics/products/9780007590223
https://collins.co.uk/collections/aqa-a-level-physics/products/9780007597642

I don't have a link for CGP, but you should find one if you google CGP AQA A level physics textbook or something like that.
