    The situation:
I have very thick curly/wavy hair. At the moment it's reasonably lengthy (~10cm along the front, a little shorter on the back and sides). I like the length and want to keep it growing.

    The problem:
My hair doesn't lie at all flat. It's fine when wet, but as soon as it dries it's very bushy (almost like an afro but nowhere near as curly).

I want to use some sort of hair product on it, but I don't know what to use. I do know that I don't want to use anything that holds position (e.g. gel) as I like to be able to run my hand through my hair/have wind blowing through etc.

Any suggestions? I'm male if it makes any difference.
