paramedic or doctor

hey guys,
im just starting my second year in college and im studying biology, chemistry, business and mathematics. my dad owns a company that provides medical services for events and growing up, ive always wanted to be a part of it. recently i decided that i want to be a doctor or a paramedic, however with his company, i can do both.
i need help as im not entirely sure which university courses i should be taking to allow me to do both. should i get a degree in paramedic science and then train to be a doctor, or the other way around?
also, as im sure is the same as most people, i dont want to be in university for too long so what courses do i need to do while taking as little time as possible?
thanks

This is a strange question and the job roles are very different in context and in training.

Training for medicine takes 5 years (with some exceptions) and many more exams more if you want to specialise or become a GP

Training to be a paramedic at degree level takes 3 years plus on road experience.

The two job roles though are very different.

Paramedic work is mainly operational outside, and work is closely tied to having a good relationship with your partner (sat next to you for many hours) with 90% of the work in peoples houses or workplaces, often with lots of mundane work & manual handling elderly people to and from hospital, managing blocked catheters, and dealing with medical emergencies (and hoax calls, and non emergencies) Trauma is a small part of the everyday work. There is a ceiling on the level of career progression as there is no higher qualification than paramedic, albeit there are managerial roles or a very few specialist roles.

Work as a doctor is very much working across wards in a hospital based environment from medical wards to the emergency department. The training is intense and the exams frequent. The hours are very long. The main environment is a hot NHS ward or ED. There are opportunities to progress in specialisms and in seniority of role to consultant.

You are not realisticaly going to manage working in two completely distinct professions. I think you need to look into what medical training looks like (including beyond university) because it's not really a career to go into if you're looking for training to take as little time as possible(!)

Pre-hospital emergency medicine is a subspecialty of emergency medicine or anaesthetics that some doctors work in. These doctors work closely with the ambulance service but it's very different to being a paramedic. Some other doctors (GPs, orthopaedic surgeons etc) get involved in events medicine at football matches, F1 races, concerts etc which sounds like it could be more relevant to your dad's business. There are lots of different possibilities in medicine but it's important to not generate an unrealistic and ultra-planned out vision of what a career in medicine looks like whilst you're still in college because the reality always ends up being very different.
