Wanting to change myself for a girl

I don't understand why I get this urge to be how the other person wants me to be like... I am very uncomfortable being myself around someone I like because I am boring and uninteresting

I think it’s pretty normal to wanted to be ‘your best self’ around someone you fancy. However this is totally different from dissing yourself totally, which is counterproductive and definitely to be avoided

As a girl - don’t change yourself for a girl! If you feel you’re boring and uninteresting, change for yourself! Start a new hobby!
But you probably aren’t, I’m sure you already have some kind of hobby, and that will make you interesting!
Someone will come along who appreciates you for yourself.
