What universities don’t accept BTEC and what courses can’t you do with it?

title
I did a BTEC and got into a Uni which accepted.

Which unis are you applying?
Nearly all universities accept BTECs. There are a couple of high end London universities that dont.

As far as subjects medicine and similar do not usually accept it but it is accepted for most things. Sometimes a science or Maths A level is needed in addition to a BTEC. This is often the case in Computing and Engineering as the BTEC is more general than A level and doesnt go into the depth an A level does in things like Maths or Chemistry.

The key issue is the subject taken for the BTEC. Some are not considered acedemic enough by universities. The subject needs to be relevant to the degree you intend studying,

The best option is to check the subjects you are interested in taking and have a look at the entry requirements as these will provide more details

I’m not applying, it was just a general question

Here is an example of the entry requirement at Swansea for varying subjects. As can be seen what is accepted varies dependent on the subject and it also lists any A level needed in addition,
