LNAT ctrl-f

Does anybody know whether the real LNAT exam allows ctrl-f to search for words in a text?

I don't think it does.

God I reallyyy dont know! I used Arbitio for a while but the test wasnt much easier. I found I did really struggle on a few questions but others were manageable, some quite easy. The 30s/late 20s are feeling a bit unrealistic but I'd say middling 20 is more likely. I thought the essay went well though!

I didn't try it in my LNAT but tbh I HIGHLY doubt it. The system is pretty strict (no bold, italics etc on essays) and ctrl F would make the texts MUCH easier to deal with. I really don't think so and I'd prepare as though it's not available

Ah good to hear that the essay went well. Tbh mid-20s isn't bad if you have a solid application otherwise, so I'm sure you'll get an offer!

They were decent, thought provoking but not hard in the slightest.

Exactly, I have straight 9s/A*s for GCSE and predictions and my personal statement is solid. I hope it's enough to be shortlisted for an interview, if not get some good conditional offers!

(I apologise if I sounded like I was tooting my horn there- I just wanted to give a fair assessment of. where else in my application I can make for a potentially lower LNAT score )

Yeah, I also have all A*s at GCSE and A-levels predicted, so I'd assumed a similar portfolio with you. Except I'm not an early applicant so I'm sitting my LNAT on the 5th of November. Quite sad that my whole life's worth of education is pivoting on this one examination that is literally one of the hardest tests in the world. I know I can do well on the essay, as I do English A-level, and I'd say I'm quite proficient at writing so I haven't prepared all that much for the essay. However, section A is a literal nightmare. A single word, or interpretation, or ambiguity can screw you over and words, interpretations, and ambiguities are littered all over the passages. My non-LNAT universities are QMUL, and maybe Warwick and I think I should be able to get into at least one of those two but idk if I'll do well in enough in my LNAT for the others.

I know, it's depressing, I dont know why SO much weight is given to this bloody exam but oh well- hoping I can atleast get shortlisted for Oxford, maybe offers from UCL or Bristol due to a strong essay, although LSE (one of my favourite bloody unis) may not be the offer giver here! Frustrating but we'll see

I can confirm that control F does not work. I'm pretty sure most functions are disabled on the exam computer, also, it's worth noting that you cannot highlight words in the text with your cursor (the way you would before selecting copy paste for example) I found this threw me off quite a bit because i would often use the highlighting function to help me find answers to questions during my practice tests.

Yep, ctrl + f does not work. But I didn't really find the need to use it, since the passages weren't as long as people made them out to be so a quick skim could take you where you want to be. The highlighting thing also threw me off; I had to follow the words with my cursor to concentrate. Hopefully you did well though - what are your predicted grades and what universities are you applying to?

Hey! If you don't mind sharing, how did it go? I've got my LNAT next month and am aiming for around the same as you were and trying to apply to similar unis too.
