Mum mad at exam results

So I ended up getting 2 A’s 3 B’s and 1 C in my higher exams. One of the B’s and the C is getting appealed especially since the C was predicted an A so idk what really happened there but yeah, my mum is not happy with it at all. She believes that I can’t get into any university’s and that I’ll end up in college. I’ve tried telling her that university’s don’t need like 4 A’s but she won’t listen. I am also elegible for the adjusted entry uni requirements of some courses I have in mind which is 4 B’s according to the website.

Sorry to hear about your mum putting you down. You’re right, you don’t need 4As to get into university and there are still plenty of options available to you.

Parents can sometimes not be very helpful or supportive during times like these but they will get over it eventually. It’s definitely not the end of the world and you seem prepared and you’ve done your research. Keep your goals as your first priority and keep pushing to secure yourself onto a course you want.

Even if you didn't met the entry requirements for Uni - you could pursue a 2:2 degree potentially at College then move to Uni for final 2. It's not the end of the world, regardless you don't need all A's to attend Uni.
