Maybe but I haven’t seen a lot of undergraduate offers but then yet again other applicants who are not on tsr and are undergraduates may have got offers. So who knows.

I am frustrated with the way they are handling the offer process. The fact that they are sending offers to some groups, such as grads, before others is just a complete joke. This biased approach is not only unfair, but it also sends a message that some students are valued more than others, which is completely unacceptable.

That ain’t even true mate. Many Grads and undergrads got their offers at the same time which means they’re sending out offers based on your interview score. So their aint any “bias” going on

Don't worry, for most people applying to study medicine at Kent, kmms is a backup option, this is why admissions continue to make offers as late as they do. It all depends on how quickly those with kmms offers hear back from other med schools.
Stats (FOI) show that 1 in 2/3 applicants get offers after interview so if you've had an interview, you've got a good chance of getting in. 🙂

No, according to previous years, they will still be making offers until the UCAS deadline in May, as most of the applicants with offers for kmms seem to wait to hear back from other medical schools before firming.

I have decided to prioritize improving my UCAT score and upgrading some of my A-Levels to achieve a full bucket of A* grades. Additionally, I am considering working in the medical field during my gap year. However, I have decided not to apply to Kent and Medway because of their unique mini interview process and scoring system. As an 18-year-old, I may not have the level of professionalism expected of a 27-year-old doctor. This may be due to my background or life circumstances, but my dream of becoming a doctor remains unchanged. Unfortunately, the mini interview process at Kent and Medway appears to be geared towards highly trained teenagers who may have had extra curricular interview training or doctor parents. This makes it difficult for students from normal backgrounds who also have a dream, like myself, to have a chance at success.

Agreed 💯

I disagree entirely with this take to be honest. The KMMS MMI structure was specifically designed so that you can't particularly prepare for it through interview coaching etc. It's assessing your skills and personality in a more raw way through the task-based scenarios, instead of interviewers seeing how good students are at preparing for specific questions. I did absolutely no specific prep for my KMMS interview and I'm glad I didn't. I do believe that my life experience as a grad helped me in the different scenarios, but again in my opinion that shouldn't be penalised... Good luck with your gap year though, hopefully getting some experience (potentially as a HCA as you suggest) will further strengthen your application and interviews in the future! 💪

Just wanted to say I received my unconditional offer today! I’ve been applying to medicine for several years as a graduate, so this is great news for me. I’ve also got an offer from George’s but for deferred. Waiting back on Warwick.
Good luck everyone 🤞

Thank you! Some point today. I didn’t get any email or update, just logged into KentVision and offer letter was dated for today. Hasn’t updated on Ucas yet

It's not wise to not prepare just because they advise against it. The suggestion not to prepare may be politically motivated, and they need to show fairness and transparency. However, regardless of the reasons, students who do prepare will have a better chance.

Completely disagree and I think anyone else apply to Kent shouldn't take this into account. The whole interview process is amazing and I think anyone that has done it would agree. Instead of learning things from a book or a course and then just regurgitating in the interview you have to show you and your skills. They don't care how much experience you've got. It's about you something you can't learn from a book. Good luck to you but I think your view is very biased and unfair.

You've got to do what you feel is right for you!
It's just most of those with offers are holding out for their first (maybe second and even third!) choice so it's only when offer holders reject kmms that offers then become available.
Good luck and keep up that motivation to get the best out of life!

I’m on a gap year asw waiting for offer/rejection. So far I’ve seen one gap year candidate receive an offer. 90% of the offers have been grads for some odd reason…

There might be way more undergrads than grads with offers but not everyone has TSR
