Doing 44 in a 40

Hi
I just came into a 40 and my Speedo was reading 44 (still slowing down). Came around the corner and there was a speed van my Speedo was probably reading 43 then I got down to 38 quickly. Do you think I will get a NIP or not on day 2 of waiting.

Doubtful, there's generally a little tolerance.
dw too much abt it, your speedometer usually shows a higher speed than youre going

I would think not. If your speedo was showing nearer 48mph maybe you could be just at the threshold for a ticket (But each speedo is unique, some are absolutely accurate and others have a leeway of 5 to 10% reading above the car's true speed) Don't quote me on that one. You have to wait 14 days for a statutory ticket to arrive (with delays in postal services sometimes 18 days) but I am pretty sure from what you say there will be no post waiting for you this time.
