Hi all,For a Bsc Mathematics course, which would be a better offer for me to accept: one from QMUL or one from City? Thank you for any and all replies!
There are a lot of different things to weigh up when thinking about this, I'll list off a few things for you!
1 - Definitely the modules!! Take a look at the modules each uni does for Maths and see which sort of thing you might prefer. Modules make up what you actually learn and study on the course so it's important you enjoy it
2 - QMUL is a Russel Group university which could lead to higher employability and teaching from renowned academics. Although, this doesn't mean everything!!! If you find that City has things about it that you like a lot better, you can still go far with your degree regardless - it's good to even just have a degree in the first place
3 - Location - Maths at both unis are taught at similar ish places in London but still different areas. You still have the opportunity to explore all of London at both of them but just something to think about!
4 - Accommodation - prices and also location. QMUL has relatively cheap uni accom for a London university. It's also right on campus. I don't know too much about City but might be worth looking into!
5 - Student experience at the uni and of the course. Both unis use a platform called unibuddy where you can speak to current students and ask any questions you might have! The links are below. There is also a lot of info online from many different people about what they study and their experience at uni so definitely have a good look around
