I still like CDs, for the quality of the sound mostly, but also the cover artwork is nice to own too and to display your CDs. But nothing near to the extent that I used to buy.

I love getting music CDs. I currently have somewhere around 150, I think. I also occasionally buy songs from iTunes.

I can't afford to buy the amount of music I listen to, so no, not all the time. I usually only buy CDs if they're on offer or secondhand and therefore cheaper, I do really like them as a "medium" for music though, it's nice to have all the cover art and something physical to look at/hold, if that makes sense! If I really like an artist I've downloaded, then I will try and buy their album. I also go to a lot of gigs and buy band merchandise.

i always buy CDs cos like everyone else says the cover art is cool, and its nice to have something physical. i have loads of shelves of CDs so you can see my music collection. and i hate the thought of it all just dissapearing if the computer crashed, although thats never happened.

Iam in my second year of a music production degree and have my own label..

Was wondering do any of you still buy music?

    Digitally or CD's?

What about gigs? Pay to go see artists/bands?

    Yes.

CDs. I like to have the cover art. Just having the album on my computer isn't quite the same.

Gigs. Only a few now. Not many bands around that I like anymore..

I used to buy music. Whenever I downloaded it screwed my computer up. But truth be told I don't really keep up with the music scene and buy much. If I see a deal I get it, but I'm not soo into music anymore these days. Have a kinda large collection though.

I spend a lot more money on gigs than on buying actual music tbh. But every-so-often i will buy a CD to support the band or whatever.

Well, those are just my CDs, I have much more on my computer, and in reality all of those have been bought in the past 2 years, I do have a fair few more but they were left at home.

    its all about illegal downloading

why pay for it when you can get it for free

its like being married to a pornstar yet you go to a prostitute for sex.

No, I don't pay for the music I listen to. However, I do pay to see the bands I like, live. I prefer festivals, as you get to see more bands for less money than seeing them at separate gigs.

Yep I still buy most of the music I listen to. I like to actually have the CD with its cover art rather than just data on a computer. However, I do download albums to listen to before I buy the CD as I'm not loaded so can't afford to buy as many as I'd like. I have a big list of CDs I want to get in the near future at the moment.

I also go to quite a lot of gigs. And I'll usually buy something while I'm there if theres a good shirt I want or any CDs I want.

i buy some if i think the music is fantastic. i bought a cd last week, but recently most of my music has been downloaded by means which have not been said to be illegal but to be honest they are. i rip them from youtube with a tidy little program. so a bit of both. and yes i go to gigs as well sometimes but im not that heavy on going to loadssss of gigs although i should be going to see the prodigy soon!

I go to a lot of gigs, and sometimes buy merchandise there, including CD's.
    But if I'm not at a gig, I won't buy a CD.
