Hello, first and foremost best of luck for GCSE Results Day. As long as you have the main core subjects that ultimately is required to do every subject within sixth form English, Maths and maybe Science dependent on what you want to do there’s no reason why you cannot get in.

Whatever happens you will be able to attend a school sixth form or a college. What subjects and qualifications they will recommend/allow you will depend on the number of pass grades you achieve and at what grade.

Normally someone with only 3 GCSE and a fail in English would be encouraged to do another year of GCSE level study that would include retaking GCSE English language and taking some level 2 BTEC qualifications or other GCSE. Then they could proceed to A levels a year later.

If you do achieve 5 passes then you would be allowed to start A levels or Level 3 BTEC courses and retake English language at the same time. Given you don't have a standard educational history you should be meeting with schools and colleges locally to discuss what options they could provide.

That depends on the school. You see, especially at private schools, they get a number of students from overseas who want to do A levels in the UK. They have no GCSE's at all. If you go to one of those schools no problem. In fact they sometimes offer a year 11 for those students to prepare for A levels - I personally would do that. Another option is online. There is actually no prerequisites for A Levels - just a suggested preparation. Even if you have none and the school says it is required ask them anyway. IMHO it is a dumb requirement and hopefully they will see that. The only issue is some (not all) university's require some GCSE's. But there are many that do not eg Oxford (yep prestigious Oxford) and York. They have overseas students too that may not have GCSE's.
