Hey guys, I know this has been stated time and again but I need reassurance! Does 'A decision has been made on this choice and is being processed.....' definitely translate to an acceptance?

What is the message for applications that are rejected/waitlisted/put on reserve list?

Got the 'A decision has been made..' message on the 8th, but since the graduate admissions office is closed until the 15th, do I have to wait till after the 15th to know the outcome? Thanks!

I'm 99.99% certain that people who get that message are offered a place. The application status should say "rejected" or "waiting list" if you didn't make it.

Hi people, I am literally pissed off by the waiting. It has been over 2 months since the 4th email and they still haven't made a decision.
I haven't got any offer or any reply so far and will be in deep **** if I don't get any in the end.

Hi everyone, i just accepted my offer for IR and i'm just wondering about accomodation. Is everyone going to be staying in residential hall? My parents house is a 30 min tube ride away from holborn so i am thinking of staying at home to save money but would this put me at a disadvantage in terms of meeting people and socialising?

Also for those applying for accomodation, where are you applying and why? Also when is the latest we can apply before places run out?
    Thanks

If you are sure you'll meet your offer, I suggest applying asap. A house 30mins away from Holborn is not going to be detrimental at all.

Furthermore, it may be wise to rent out if you don't like small rooms (i.e. halls give you 11-15sq.m, which is mmmm not normal).

    Hi all,

I also would like to share my application progress with you, and encourage you all to try it!

I applied for LSE in '' Economy of Late Development ''as a student from London Metropolitan University which is considered a low profile University.( Whereas I find all my courses & teachers pretty good so far, I am fully satisfied!!! ) My degree is in Business Administration, and my average grade is around 59 % in my second year.

I just received the message ''A decision has been made..'' notification and I am the happiest person in the world at the moment....

As I stated above that my grades in 2nd year were not fantastic, and I think the reason why they ''could'' ( its no 100 % sure yet anyway...Im waiting for the status to change ) make me an offer was my !!!Personal Statement!!!. I think my personal statement was very strong, I wrote it in a very formal way, without telling any pitpat stories about me, how good I am etc...but telling them what Ive done so far, and especially pointing out MY AIMS and WHY I want take this couse and I also clearly stated my plans after my master. I really put a lot of effort into my PS, it took me around 7-10 days to write it!! But it was worth it!
My first reference was okay, nothing special but good. The second one was CRAP...my refree just repeating my PS...which means it was more or less useless.
I applied around 25th of March, and got the notification today - only 3 weeks although there was easter break in between!

So, for all of you who are unsure, its not only about your grades, but also about your ambition and how serious you take it! I hope I could encourage some of you to try it and to concentrate on your PS when you apply.

    GOOD LUCK !!!

    Hi,

I called them up last Monday and was told that decision has been made on my application and it will take 3 days to process. I called again today and have just been told that processing will take a few more working days. Meanwhile, there has been no change till now in my application status on the online tracker.

Anyone had this before ? Did anyone get a positive without the 'A decision has been ...' message ? I am preparing myself for a rejection but they are delaying it so much which is making me uneasy .....

Does anyone know if doing undergrad at LSE makes it any easier to get into postgrad there? Or is every app judged the same?

Surely they think LSE is very good when considering app, no?

Doing Govt and Eco there Bsc.
Let's say I am applying for Msc Economics.

PS Will I need a first? Is it really hard?

    Thanks

Are there any GSS awards still available? I've spent 2 days to write a very nice letter. However, I received "We regret to inform you that you have not been given a Graduate Support Scheme (GSS) Award" immediately: when I logged on to LSE Applicants Progress after submitting GSS it was already there =(((

a computer evaluates all the number you added, and if these dont measure up to their critera then you automatically get rejected without any human even checking your app. yeah its annoying and happened to me too.

You should try again by stating that your circumstances have changed and ask for less money.

I originally asked for £15,000 and got rejected. Then I asked for £7,000 and got given £6,000. But then again, that was in January. They say that the earlier you apply the easier it is to get money. So I would suggest you do it as soon as possible and make a judgement as to what sum of money you think is reasonable.

    Good Luck!

What exactly did you choose in "Type of information" on this page: http://www.lse.ac.uk/collections/stu...gssChanges.htm

While completing the application I inially stated that my parents will give me £20.000 and I asked LSE to give me £8.000 (according to their calculations I need 28.000 for a year). Will it be fine if I write that I have found a loan for 4.000 and now I need 4000 only? Isn't it quite strange?
