you obviously havent done any research whats so ever. sweden and denmark have the highest taxes in the world, with sweden having really left wing parties. even the right winged are more left than the labour party in the UK.

The BNP and Green Party are on the left
Finally. Finally. Finally. Someone who doesnt insist on calling the BNP right wing. You are my hero.

They are just racist left wingers.

I think the OP is slightly confused. Our taxation, public spending etc is one of the highest (if not the highest - I can't remember) in europe and we are certainly left wing compared to most of what is traditionally considered the developed world (thus exluding south america, asia, africa etc). However, we are certainly not the most left wing country in the world by a long way.

It is remarkable that although BNP and Socialist Party policies are actually very similar, the media persists in referring to them as 'far right' and 'far left' respectively.

Thank you, although hero's surely a bit strong? :p: They may be racist, they may be authoritarian but, economically, they're certainly left wing.

I would starve to death without my car, how else would I buy my shopping?
    Online delivery? Walk? Taxi?

Good luck with the change in halls. I hope you make some friends soon. It can't be too long until someone recognises your greatness and charm.

The government may be communist, but are the people?

They don't have left-wing demonstrations like in Britain with the anti-war marches and the eco-fascists climbing parliament. I think the people are the problem in this country, as they say: 'people get the government they deserve'.

It has the highest taxes, the highest government spending, and all the political parties are at least vaguely 'on the left'. The high number of poor people also contributes.
I don't think it has the highest taxes, scandinavia definitely has higher, but no countries government can p*ss the publics money away like ours

    Wait for poll.
The highest taxes would probably be Denmark or Norway. They also spend the most on benefits, believe it or not. More poor people in other places, believe it or not.

This isn't shocking news, doesn't even need research, it's pretty flippin' obvious the answer is no.

Communism, my friend. It's real and is the form of state governing used in several countries, the UK not being one. Communism = left wing, right? So? "Most"?
    How dense.

Not sure what happened there with my last tree posts, looks like it submitted three times!

North Korea and China are still communist. Can anyone be more left than that?
They may be founded on communism, but I think the virtues of communist principles and ideals may have been lost with the passage of time with regard to North Korea and China.

 Your understanding of the UK is quite frankly shocking.
The highest taxes? 19 other countries in the EU alone have a higher average personal taxation rate than us.

The highest government spending? In what respect? Highest amount, as a % of GDP? Elaborate please.

All the political parties on the left? This is laughable. If anything, I'd say the vast majority of our major political parties lean towards the right, or the centre-right at the very least.

The high number of poor people also contributes

ms500 - I suggest that you do some research before spouting off such rubbish, which is clearly nothing more than your own personal opinion in this case.
