English Language + Lit degree: Why such bad rep?!
I want to go into this degree because I'm PASSIONATE about reading and thinking + applying critically to all forms of media I consume - and I WANT to take it more academically. But why is there so many people saying it leads to no job/ it's a useless degree?? It's really making me second guess my decision because all my life English is what I've been the most good at and now if I choose it I'm apparently taking a gamble for my future?? God forbid I want to learn something I have a genuine interest in. Is it really that terrible?
