Mattress size in Bowland Tower Superior Ensuite Room?

Hello. My daughter is so excited to be starting at Lancaster in October. She will be in Bowland Tower, in a superior ensuite room, but we are a little uncertain as to whether the mattress will be 1900 or 2100mm long. If anybody knows whether these rooms have the extra-long mattresses we would be very grateful.

Hi @ClarissaBella!

I stayed in Superior Ensuite in Furness and a normal single bed sheet fitted my bed as it was a normal length, I'm not sure of the exact measurement unfortunately. As far as I'm aware, the Superior Ensuite rooms should be pretty standard across the colleges although I'd contact the Bowland Accommodation manager directly to double check before buying bedding etc. You can contact the Accommodation Manager, Becky McCance by emailing [email protected], or by calling 01524 594498.

Congrats to your daughter on securing her place

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for the information and kind wishes. I spoke to the very lovely accommodation manager at Bowland, and she told me that in Bowland Tower the beds are 90 x 200 cm. I thought I would put that information here in case it helps future students (and their parents!).

Do the graduate college accommodation in a standard ensuite include a mattress or do we need to buy everything for the bedding?

Hi Anon,

The on campus accommodation includes a mattress. You will need to bring your own bedding such as a mattress protector, bed sheet, duvet, pillows etc.
