Go to Durham (Castle) and pretend/fool yourself you're at Oxford :p: (I'm the only one allowed to make that joke )

Why, if you spent an extra year at uni, would you need to work a year less? Why not just delay retirement for a year and make up for it?

I'm soon to turn 24 and still haven't graduated/started my career. I'm OK with that, I probably won't retire until I'm 70 (unless I work in the public sector and can get a cushy pension).

I don't understand why people get so wound up by these types of threads.

Option 1: she's a troll and therefore doesn't believe what she's saying, so obviously not worth the reaction.

Option 2: she believes what she's writing and is setting herself up for a massive fall. Revel in that fact.

I do think she's taking the pee a bit (the obsessiveness with Oxbridge/Ivy League/presitige). If not, and she's being serious, fair enough. Don't really care.

I don't think she's trolling per se. People need to stop getting so woked up. Just relax people.

 I find your Tory anti feminist jokes amusing My dear Dan, but I am a proper girl that lives and dies with honor

All the options stated are viable options and as i said other than those will not be considered, which includes sticking to a second class university. If I decide to go to university, all efforts will be focused on getting in to Oxford/Ivy League even if it will take a decade or more. Thank you for all the input. I will refer back to this thread in two months from today. If I succeed, I will thank you by holding a speech about how we can, Obama style. If not, then you will maybe read about me on the BBC one windy day:p:

You are pathetic, ignorant and really so obnoxious it's surreal.

Please go for option E, regardless of which university/ies you may receive an offer from.

You're aiming too low, surely. Any Ivy League? Even Brown?

Surely Oxford, Harvard, or nothing? Maybe Yale, Cambridge. Everything else, you might as well not go at all.
