if im honest i think the chances for anyone left is low, but if you take into account strike days and the fact that some interviews were delayed due to finals, interviews may be going out for longer than last year!

I applied for A990 but have not seen anyone here or any other forums who have got an interview from st Andrews, so I keep telling myself that maybe they have not started interview a990 applicants. But a friend who applied last year told me that perhaps I just didn’t make it. I think that’s highly possible because what we see in these forums might not be representative of the full picture. Aberdeen said that they would send out about 350 offers by Jan 31, but only about 10-15 people here on TSR claim that they have received an offer, so many of us thought that perhaps they had delayed sending out the offers. in the end, Aberdeen sent out an email and confirmed that they dud indeed send out 350 offers. this just shows that there are many people who are not on these forums.

True. Many doesn't use this forum. It's good to know Aberdeen send out all the 350 offers. They started the interview month late this time. so they might be doing interview until end of March I guess. For some applicants they gave only one week notice for interview. So its possible to get interview invitation until 3rd week of March

Hey! The A990 is an external application, through the university directly so hopefully you shouldve gotten an information session email if you had registered your interest. I just had my St Andrews interview for the A100 course last week and had asked about A990 as a back up. They interview for A990 in the summer months as it is a separate programme to the traditional medicine route. Hope that helps!

Omg im so sorry i thought you meant the gateway programme! The A990 programme is similar to the A100 but they’re really weird with the way they get back. For me they got back with little to no notice, 5 days before my interview last Wednesday (8th Feb). All international students (which I also assume extends to Canadian students) are interviewed online for St Andrews. If you haven’t heard back, don’t be disheartened. I genuinely thought I wasn’t going to hear back at all and then on a random Thursday night at 5pm they got back to me with a date and time for my interview (you don’t get to choose, at least for the A100). If you’ve got any questions you should email [email protected] and they’ll get back to you with any specific questions

Most Aberdeen offers will have gone to Scottish applicants. I think there are many more English people on here, most of the advice is focused on English applicants.

Yes, you are right. The 10-15 people who claimed that they had received an offer from Aberdeen were mostly Scottish

I only applied for A990 at St Andrews. We are not allowed to apply for both at the same time, and I chose A990
