Does anyone know when so we expect to hear back if we get invitations for interviews?

If it is the same as last year the first batch of December interviews will be going out in a few weeks. But they are interviewing till March so invites to interview will keep coming till like mid feb. They also didn’t interview last year in descending order of points so someone with 42 could still be interviewed in March

Just got an update saying I’d been rejected, even with a score of 40 out of 42. I’m so confused because I thought if you got above 27 you were very likely to get an interview?

if you think your application should qualify on all other grounds perhaps the cut off has jumped. Did they say why, ie. It’s below our cut off for interview or just say rejected? If a cut off thing you would expect others to sadly start to post similar. If not, then perhaps it is something else and you could ask for feedback possibly?

Sorry to hear! This happened last year for someone, QUB accidentally rejected them and then when asked they said it was a mistake and then reconsidered the candidate. Although as said above it could be because you don’t meet the small print, for example you have to have applied to QUB on your first application to medicine to be considered for a second medicine application at QUB. Do you meet all the min criteria?

I had the same grades as you and also from Scotland, I wonder if they’re oversubscribed and giving places to NOI and ROI students just as Scotland does. It’s bizarre and I’m just as gobsmacked

We're n.ireland and got rejected so don’t think that's the reasoning behind it
