I called up admissions and asked about my RR form and was told that it was allocated to someone to check couple of weeks ago. Has anyone received rejection post RR from submission?

I know it’s very difficult, but try to hold on to hope and wait for a notification. It might still be good news.

Thankyou will try

I had an interview in March but still to hear back. Is it likely a rejection as most people who have had interviews have already been given offers?

i dont think we can know for sure, but at this stage behind the scenes it most likely doesnt mean rejection because many people like myself still dont know if we get an interview or not, and as more people do interviews, the score to be given an offer can change, and the more interviews they do, the more representative the scores would be to decide the thresholds for offers and rejections, i think most people will get decisions later after most interviews have been done

Interview invite yesterday at 9am

In response to my post, I declined my invite as I have offers elsewhere that would be my first and second choice. Means more for someone else who gets this invite and doesn't have offers or has Keele as first choice. Leaving the thread wishing everyone the best of luck

Hi, it is me again. I spoke to admissions regarding my application and was told they need to mark some more forms. According to their March 2023 portal update, they should have been finished by now. If you ask me, they are full of b.s. They are saying it is an intensive process, but are yet to elucidate on how many people assess each form and how many people are assessing the forms.

As you can tell from my language, I am past the point of caring. Where has their rep disappeared to?

When did you speak to admissions? I'm hoping that once the easter holiday is over we will get an update. It can be very frustrating but we have to be patient and wait

Hi everyone,

I can very much appreciate how frustrating it is to be waiting for an update on your application.

I don't currently know any more than has been advised in the last portal update. As I've explained before in the thread, I am a student at Keele and, as such, am not based within either the School of Medicine or the Admissions team.

However I have asked for a further update from the admissions team today so will let you know as and when I have anything further for you.

In the meantime, there is also more information on timescales and the admissions/application process at https://www.keele.ac.uk/study/undergraduate2023/undergraduatecourses/medicine/medicinehowtoapply/.

I share your pain, imagine waiting this long and getting a rejection. That would be an absolute *bleep* take. Either way, let's breathe. I now know how those that applied to King's felt last year. As a mature student, with actual clinical experience and actual clinical responsibility, in addition to volunteering. I feel, if I had made an voluntary exploratory trip to medically assist astronauts in space, that would not be enough. It is an absolute horrendous experience. We are not snowflakes, we are in limbo and vague responses do not help in the slightest. Let's take comfort from the fact we have been in this ordeal together. I thought this gap year, would have a lot smoother than usual, given the less application and applying
