Hey everyone, I handed in my British Writers Assignment yesterday after worrying and working away on the referencing and bibliography for days. I even asked our lecturer a question I had about the bibliography in our seminar and finished it and handed in my essay after it.
Later last night I was having a drink with some of my mates and it dawned on me that I quoted and referenced in the essay something from The Oxford English Dictionary. I did clearly state in the essay something along the lines of "The Oxford English Dictionary defines...and so on" and after the quote put the reference (OED). Thing is I was so worried about getting the bibliography right and getting the order correct, according to authors that I forgot to put The Oxford English Dictionary in the bibliography. That put me on a downer anyway.
I was just wondering would I get marks taken off, get my essay capped on a certain amount of marks or even get done for plagurism for making that mistake? I mean after all it's not like I stuck in the quote and never cited where it came from, I did that in the essay definelty but I just forgot to put the dictionary in the bibliography.
