Solo travelling in Costa Roca
Hi, I’m planning on travelling to Costa Rica and was wondering what areas are safe for a female solo traveller and have a good balance of being laid back but also lively. If anyone can give advice from their experiences I’d really appreciate it!

I loved Costa Rica, I went solo and found it pretty easy. Although, if you don't know basic Spanish try to pick up it before you go as not many people speak English outside of hotels/tourism places. San Jose is okay but go and explore the beaches and national parks which are stunning. Most hostels arrange social events/tours. Its also pretty expensive so budget before going. There are tons of online guides, here are some good things to do in Costa Rica or for backpacking, this is a helpful online Costa Rica travel guide.
