BIOINFORMATICS - Deciding between two university offers for masters

Hi all, I need some advice and at this point I'm STUCK. So at the moment I have two offers to study at two very good Universities.

Queen Mary - Bioinformatics MSc
UCL - Genetics and Multiomics in Medicine MSc

The courses are basically the same however Queen Mary focus on research project as examination where as UCL focus on Written exams for examination.

I've done the whole weighing up the options but I'm still stuck between the two. I'll be living at home and commuting to both. Seeking advice from Bioinformatics student that if they had the choice I'm in, what would they do.

Thanks guys!

Go with the MSc Bioinformatics. It will open more doors in research and industry. That is if you want to be a Bioinformatician. Otherwise go with the other course.

Strong personal statement is truly the magic key. Did you get a chance of interview ( if there is one) or get accepted at last? I am now struggling with my application after being rejected by Oxford genomics of medicine and clinical embryology. I screwed up in the interviews and had PTSD🥹

Having now completed the masters...2 years on XD and now doing a PhD around bioinformatics, i can strongly say i went with the qmul approach with the project and learnt so much more than i would of done at UCL genomics, you get more hands on appraoch and with the independent project, you get down and dirty with the datav
