PGDE - Scotland 2023 Applicants Thread!

Have you had an interview? Where else did you apply to?

I applied to UHI, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Strathclyde and Edinburgh for History.

I've had offers from Glasgow and Edinburgh but still waiting to hear of my interview outcome from Strathclyde. Since I received my Glasgow offer, I withdrew from UHI and Aberdeen.

This is my 2nd year applying as I was unsuccessful last year.

I Applied for PDGE Secondary History at the end of January at Aberdeen and still have not heard back about an interview - Anyone in the same boat? Im worried I've done something wrong in my application at this point.

Same here, I emailed away my academic transcript and they got back to me saying they received it but haven't had any interviewers or rejection come back yet.

Anyone else had Modern Studies interviews for either Strath or Aberdeen back in January/early Feb and still waiting to hear back? The waiting is terrible

That's reassuring in one sense then. I thought it was just me, but I presume they will be doing the interviews in batches then.

What did they say? I’m considering retaking maths now. Did you get an offer from Strathclyde? When did you hear back? I still haven’t heard from them but I imagine I’ll get rejected from them too on the same basis

Has anyone had to request and online interview for the Edinburgh primary course? I've emailed to say I'm not in the country but can go ahead online but had no response from them. Nervous in case it doesn't go-ahead

I've accepted an offer for Secondary teaching Modern Studies at Strathclyde and wondering if there are any other mature students out there?! Not sure if there is another chat on the forum that would be suited, I've searched but couldn't find anything specific to Strathclyde
I'm 45 and will be travelling to Strathclyde from Perthshire area when at uni but would be great to connect before starting in August.

Hi I have just accepted an offer to do PGDE primary through UHI was just wondering if anybody else on here is doing the course with UHI also?
