I'm applying as an individual applicant for a transfer after doing a year of uni in Australia. My tutor in university wrote this as my reference.

Wondering if it's too short/ not detailed enough??
It's 1612 characters with spaces/ 23 lines with the line gaps.

Should I ask him to elaborate more?

I don't know, I'm not one to judge this ref, but my only comment would be the frequent use of the word 'conscientious'. Maybe it's good? That he points out in different paragraphs that you're conscientious, but maybe he could at least find some more synonyms? The overall message is very good, though. You appear to be very suitable for university studies, and you seem to take a keen interest in your subject of choice.

Thanks. I think so too about the overused word :P

If the overall message can be taken across with this reference perhaps I do not need to worry about the length...
