How much Latin and Greek should you know for Classical archaeology MA/PhD

as above
Well it certainly depends upon your topic and area of interest doesn't it. If you're quite concerned with literary interpretations, then we might imagine Latin or Greek (whatever is relevant) must be very important. Alternatively, if you're concerned with ideas of reception, or more so to speak towards the archaeological side of things, then your Latin and Greek need not be especially advanced. Too, it depends upon your university and their course offered. Some might certainly require at least one of the two languages to be sufficiently advanced. Nevertheless, my recommendation will always be to get your Latin and Greek as far as you can take them, not only because they are fundamental to your studies and whatnot but also because they are sometimes very fun to learn. Good luck
