    can i log in to track before ive got my welcome letter?

    yes... You have to say you forgot your access number thing, request a new one and answer the questions...

    i have got an e-mail from one of my uni's giving me an ID is that it?

    No... You'll need your security questions... I did it, so I know it works...

    If the uni, also showed your UCAS number on the email, then you can use that alongside your username and password.

    I logged in like a week before I got my welcome letter.

    Then again, my welcome letter did take about two weeks from UCAS receiving my application to arrive.

    the likelihood of unis giving you an offer before you get your welcome letter is low...

    ive only checked track once, and thats when i got a letter saying i got an offer in the post

    Not necessarily linked; some universities give offers very quickly and if your welcome letter takes a long time you could get an offer before it arrives.
