    Hey,

I have my personal reasons why I would like to take a year out. It's not a health issue, a year out would greatly help deal with difficulties I experience right now. Is it possible to suspend studies for a year after finishing your first academic year? Or does university have to see some kind of serious reason, like illness, pregnancy etc.?

    Thanks!

It is possible, yes. But you would need to speak to your university and ask them about it .
