ICT Grading System

Please explain the Grading System, I got a D2 but I don't know what it's equivalent to in the normal School Grading System.
Do you know what sort of qualification it was - Cambridge National, BTEC etc?

OCR Cambridge Nationals
Cambridge Nationals are awarded on the following grade scale:

Distinction* at Level 2 (equivalent to 8.5 as a GCSE grade)
Distinction at Level 2 (equivalent to a grade 7)
Merit at Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE grade 5,5)
Pass at Level 2 (equivalent to a grade 4)
Distinction at Level 1 (equivalent to a grade 3)
Merit at Level 1 (equivalent to a grade 2)
Pass at Level 1 (equivalent to a grade 1.25)

A D2 is probably a Distinction at Level 2 - so equivalent to a grade 7.

I don't think Level 2 CNATs have those options.

It's an OCR Cambridge National they did, not a BTEC Level 3 National, the levels are different.
Camb Nats are Level 1 or Level 2 only, they don't have the Ext Cert, Nat Dip etc variations as they're only aimed towards high school students instead of sixth form/college students

@MedicWil @EBluebear sorry you are right, I was getting mixed up with OCR calling the L2 Nationals and the L3 Technicals which is the opposite for BTEC

Yeah, it's confusing as anything.
I remember just have Nat Dip Certs and Diplomas and now there's about 5 or 6 variations just within BTEC now.
They really need to come up with better names to avoid the confusion IMHO
