See profile for picture- don't actually like the picture but out of all of the ones I can get hold of (can't find camera usb connector), it is probably the best.

I don't really have time in the morning to put make up on and to be honest, it doesn't make that much difference (will sometimes use mascara, lip gloss and concealor). Straighten my hair nearly every day, to avoid it looking like a lion's mane but still, it tends to look like a lion's mane (in the picture I'd just come from a sleepover with no hairbrush so I look appalling).
The Clothing I tend to wear is hoodies, jeans and chucks.

    I'm about 5"4 and 8st.

Have a really low self esteem because of the way I look, so I want to do something about it. For the record, I've never had a bf (although I do lack in social skills, coming from an all girls school, but I am improving, and can talk to guys in a general conversation now).
I have had one guy like me apparently, but he was too shy to confront me.
Have been on one date (sort of) but we had totally opposite interests.

Seems like everyone else around me is with someone, and I feel so left out =/

Nothing wrong with the way you look at all, in fact you're quite attractive.

To me, you look fine as you are; but as you said it is a bad pic. A more clearer pic would provide a better insight. Anywho.. if you don't have time to put on makeup and stuff, don't bother. I prefer, and so do many guys, women who are 'natural' - i.e. no makeup, etc.

Best way tbh is probably wear more feminine clothes. Nothing wrong with what you're wearing in the picture, but feminine clothing makes you more attractive.

The main thing I would change is the obsession with dogs is the dress sense, but I think other than that you look good

Or you could go for a drastic change in hairstyle or something. Maybe a fringe? I really haven't got a clue about women's styles. I don't think it's the style itself that matters so much as the change and the spending a little bit of money on yourself that makes you feel happier and more confident. Treat yourself to the hairdressers, buy a new outfit (perhaps avoid hoodies if you're looking to stand out a little bit) and go out with some friends feeling con-fi-dante. Sorted.

Drop the whole dog thing. Go to China and have a kebab, just get over it then do what the others said. You're quite attractive already.

It's a person's confidence that makes them really attractive. Sort that and your golden.

You look absolutely fine as you are! Your really naturally pretty.

As Ascient said though, I think a fringe would really suit you.

    Don't wear that jumper. Ever.

    That's a good start.

In all seriousness though, you're not bad looking at all, just get out there and socialise!

Girls tend to look more attractive when they look "well kept", if that makes sense. You don't really look like that. Also, for me as a man, that hoody is doing nothing for me. I'd say dress sense is your biggest downfall, judging by that pic.

did have a fringe but it's kind of gone and seperated- didn't look too good anyway, looked strange when I had it. Really want to cover up my forehead though...

I'm not really into fashion, and wouldn't have a clue what to wear feminine wise.

    Sorry, but I can't change my interests..lol!

I will take the advice and not wear the hoodie though. What sort of clothing do you think I should go for instead?

Don't change your style if you feel comfortable in what you wear, maybe just have more confidence?

If you do want to change your style though, just go for brighter, more feminine clothes.

Perhaps make a post in Fashion & Beauty and ask for clothing advice there? Some real Fashion Gurus in that section :yep:

But, to put it simple, something that's more feminine. I mean, I do like hoodies because they're simple and comfy, but they're not the best item of clothing if you want that little boost, that little bit of confidence.

Something more feminine and colourful, I think

Okay right if you are hapy with yourself but want a change appearance wise here are a couple of things i think would suit you
    - dye your hair a chocolatey brown and have a side fringe. you say it seperated , the way to stop tht is when you dry your hair blow dry it to the side , you dont need to straighten it and put a bit of hairspray on it to stop it from moving as much, but not too much or youl look like an idiot.
    - a bit of bronzer always looks good on anyone because it doesnt make you look like tango woman but gives you a bit of colour.
    - clothes wise, tihng like the jacket tht ur wearing in tht pic do give off a big statement to people, so if you want to change the way you dress.. just get some basics such as plain straightlegged jeans or black leggings, and wear with a floaty white top and belt. outfits dont have to be complicated or a fuss on a morning, neither does ur hair, im betting tht ur hair is quite wavy/curly if you dont straighten it, i bet it would look great natural :]

Just my bit - not trying to say you look horrible cos you dont you look great, just a different image option for you there.
