In the “Burial of Sir John Moore at Corunna” the poet describes the hasty burial of a national hero. Compare this with one other poem from the anthology in which the speaker conveys death.

Could anyone point me to some websites or notes that u have that could help with this poem.

Much Appreciated :tsr:

You could try this link http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/115.html

It doesn't help you much. But thanks to your query (that came my way via a Google alert on Sir John Moore) I've surfed around and found the above page which contains entries from people who, like me, are trying to trace our family links back to the unfortunate general. Good luck with the poem!
