Ive pretty much finished my ucas form im applying for maths courses (generally) and im doing STEP mathematics papers I and II (ie. not II and III).

On ucas form how do i put down what STEP papers i am sitting so the universities know what papers im sitting, so that, for example i dont get an offer for level 2 required in STEP III?

Do I put them down as modules?

    thanks

o yeah and i put urgent in title because im hoping to send off form 2moz, seeing as other people have already been offered interviews for my courses

I don't know if there is an official way, but I put it down in my modules. I mean, the unis will see the information written there, and as they will be looking to find which STEP papers you're sitting, they will most probably find that information. If no one else here puts forward any solution, try calling UCAS. It's real easy to get through to them and they can answer pretty much all your Qs.

I was under the impression that offers containing STEP III were only offered to applicants who have taken or are taking Further Maths. As such, it is fairly trivial to see in your UCAS application whether you are sitting Further Maths and tailor the offer accordingly.

I just put STEP and didn't put in any numbers. Are you doing Further Maths because if not then it's obvious you aren't doing STEP III. Also I think, but I'm not sure, that only Cambridge make offers specifying STEP III. For example my Warwick offer is a 2 in STEP but it doesn't specify which paper.

You just put in STEP once. However, all universites (warwick, cambridge) who require step do not say it is necessary to put it down as they know you need to sit it.

Are you sure Warwick doesn't mind which STEP? Even if you do further maths? Sorry to ask on someone else's thread but I'd quite like to know..

I've never heard of Warwick asking for people to get a grade in a specific paper.

I have an offer from Warwick and it doesn't specify which paper. All it asks for is '2/Merit in a Maths STEP/AEA paper'. I do Further Maths.

I only put down AEA as I hadn't made my mind up at the time whether to sit STEP. Have a look at this www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/maths/admissions/ug/faqs/#ansa5

See attachment to see how you put it (I've had it verified by UCAS). The "1" stands for grade, which you'll want to leave as pending.

My boyfriend is currently studying maths at warwick. His offer was AAAA or AAB with a 2/merit in a STEP paper, it didn't matter which (he took 1 and 2). He was studying further maths at college. The only people i know that were asked for STEP III were those who had offers from oxford or cambridge.
