I'm staying in Halls at the moment, and recently I ordered something from Amazon. It was scheduled to be delivered today, as I've been tracking it on the website.

I checked the site at about 10am today and it said it was 'out for delivery', so I thought it would be delivered around mid-day or something.

I've spent much of the afternoon revising in my room, and I checked the site at about 5.15pm and it said it had just been delivered, so I went to check the mail box to see if there was a parcel note, but there wasn't. Fair enough I thought, the admin staff haven't had time to put one in yet, so I went back to my room.

I've just checked again at about 5.30, and there still wasn't one there, so I went to reception and asked if there had been any parcels delivered, and they said if there wasn't a note in the box then it hadn't been delivered. Reception closes at about 6pm.

I know they are lying, but I didn't say anything. Nobody lies to me and gets away with it, if there is a note there tomorrow morning then I will want to know why they didn't give it to me immediately.

That parcel is 110% my property, I paid for every penny of it and they have no right to keep it from me. You won't believe how tempted I am to call 999 right this instant, this is theft and if they searched the premises I know they'd find it.

    Just venting

Hmm yes calling 999 because you haven't got a parcel is certainly justified it's not like they've got anything better to do...

    Wtf, it's not that bad.
It might not have been delivered, you can't be certain it has.
Ring Amazon and speak to someone rather than using the tracker coz that could be wrong.
Also, i'd say them giving you the delivery note a day late is not them with holding your property from you and doesn't in anyway require police involvement. Let's not overreact here.

Was it a large collection of pornography? Is that the reason why you are acting so angrily?

Regardless, I think it truly is an emergency and worthy of the emergency services

You have no proof it has been delivered. There are plenty of instances of deliverymen forging signatures and, until you've seen the signature, I'd be a bit more patient if I were you.

Hmm, not sure about that. The Amazon tracker is saying it has been delivered and gave a specific time, but the Delivery company website doesn't. I guess it just hasn't updated. I'm 95% sure it's been delivered.

No, but it wasn't cheap (>£100), and it was the last one in stock. There's no way I can let this slip without consequence, I'll make a formal compaint at the very least.

You definately live up to your username. You are going to call 999 because a parcel went missing?
What exactly is this parcel anyway?

I don't like them either, and they will soon regret 'taking me on'

If it turns out they are lying, then I want them to receive a formal warning. If they don't do this, I will happily tell a few choice national newspapers about my experience, and their name will be dragged through the gutter.

And how do you know it's their fault? Just get over it.

Just because it's been scheduled to be delivered at a certain time, doesn't mean it will be. (I got told a parcel of mine was due yesterday and it arrived on Monday - not that I'm complaining or anything)

So you're gunna call 999 and contact the newspapers?

Want me to call the Army?
