Sardines, rice and water to be on the safe side.. Don't waste money on drink when tap water is free

EDIT: Tap water is not free, but I meant you probably don't have to pay to access it at the time :p:

Long story short I lost my bloody bank card and won't have access to money for a fair few days.

I've got €6 (we'll say £5) to my name. How can I make this last as long as possible, food wise?
Change it for 500 pennies. They burn and digest slower.

If you have any form of broad insurance a lot have provisions for this sort of situation. I.E a western union transfer of say "50, so long as you "make arrangements to pay it back".

No I'm in Ireland and it was my UK bank card that I use/lost. I can use it to withdraw money because Visa handle the transactions (I think), I don't think I can just go into a different bank and withdraw money....

I have an Irish bank account, but even then it takes a good few days for an 'international' transfer, and costs a silly amount of money
Student welfare should be able to give you an emergency loan for a few days. Failing that if you still have your card details you might be able to make online transactions.

    Tesco 7p noodles!
Having finally found them on the shelves, I'm about to go make some in a bit! Or I might treat myself to the slightly more expensive Heinz Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce.

yeah, just go the bank with your account details...and withdraw some cash, in the meanwhile invest that fiver on a subway meal!
Subway is a HUGE rip off.
