repeating level 2 health & social care

i passed level 2 health & social care but i did not meet the qualifications to progress into level 3 at my new school, (i moved schools) so essentially i'm repeating my first year of college. i guess it'll be easier for me as i will just go through the things i've learnt last year but i'm kinda disappointed that i can't do level 3..
is this necessarily a bad thing??

Make sure the new college is fully aware that you completed L2 last year as you are not allowed to repeat the same course again (you can resit exams but not coursework units). If they try to register you on the same course, your ULN will show you have already completed and will not allow registration. If you need to redo a Level 2 year, perhaps look at an alternative subject.

wasn't aware you could only redo the exam units. this completely invalidates my answer, so i'll remove it.

Coursework units can be resat, but within a very strict time (15 working days from result and within the same term) so cannot be carried over.

i've already enrolled into a level 2 course unfortunately, so idk if i can still talk to them to change it into a level 3 course instead. the reason why i'm repeating the course is that my teachers advised me to do it again because i got a low pass. but i really don't want to repeat the same course this year :frown:

Normally to progress to L3, you need at least an overall Merit at L2, but if you have passed Maths and English at Grade 4/5, they may let you progress to L3. I think your teacher may have been confused when advising you to redo L2. As well as being bored with the repetition, if it were allowed, it would also be unfair to other students as you would in effect being given double the time and chances and resources to complete assignments.

ive had induction the other day and i did not like my class at all plus i seriously dont wanna repeat a year with my classmates being younger than me ahh help,,
i dont think my tutors are aware that ive already done L2 and that ive passed it, but i will try to talk to that teacher who advised me to retake it since i think ive made a huge mistake.
anyway i would understand if i failed L2 but i didnt so retaking it would be pointless.

Make sure you let them know you have completed it. Do you have a certificate or email showing you have passed that you can show them?
