Yep, look up the groups on Facebook and ask to join, and then once you're accepted you can post and request to be added to the groupchats!

Hi everyone! I've been offered the opportunity to interview this month because they have some spaces available on the course. I was initially rejected so wasn't able to attend any pre-interview information sessions, if there were any, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice from them or anything they found useful when they went to interview. Any help would be really appreciated!!

Congratulations! Do you mind if I ask you what your gamsat score is?

Well done on getting an interview! It follows the MMI structure, and you'll get questions with role plays and scenarios, questions about you, and questions about healthcare / medicine / caring / etc. Most questions will have multiple parts (apart from the roleplays, usually). There might be a quick morning session before your actual interview, go to that - it's to check your camera and mic work (assuming the interviews are still online). Make sure to read over the GMC guidance for doctors and things like that - know what is expected of a doctor etc.

Yeah no problem, it's 65/59/62 with an overall of 62. I'm applying from England so I think it was too low for the non-NI cutoff

Thank you! I had one MMI for St George's so I just wanted to check that it wasn't going to be completely different lol

What time is the interview? It said 15:25 GMT but surely it's 15:25 BST?

Hi, does anyone know the situation with hair / earrings / nail polish etc whilst at medical school? Can nails be done or do these need to be plain? Any info much appreciated!!!

I asked someone from the year above at ulster and she confirmed she has piercings and isn’t an issue (hair she didn’t mention but I assume whatever you want but potentially needs to be back or off face etc when dealing with patients) and nails cannot have extensions or polish. Also for placement no like dangling earrings etc small studs are acceptable. We have a Facebook group chat for 2023 start ulster students if you want me to add you to it?

Hi, do you know if this still have different cutoffs for NI/ROI vs GB? I didn’t know there were different cut offs for 2023 as it doesnt show on their website. They do say the prioritise NI/ROI over GB though, is this how it is done? Sorry, just confused as to what are chances for someone applying from GB to get chosen for ulster
