Me too! I hope they don’t drag it out 🤞🏻
It’s my first time applying to Ulster but I applied to GEM a few years ago after sitting the GAMSAT blind for the first time, and got a score of 49 so was instantly rejected 😂 so this is kind of my first ‘proper’ time applying where I stand some tiny slither of a chance 😂

Heya guys! UU is my first choice, I'm applying whilst in my final year of biomed, got a 66 in the GAMSAT so I'm hoping that's enough lol... My personal statement was a mess tho, I didn't have time to polish it 😂🙈 hoping I'll get into QUB if UU doesn't work out

Anyone think it could still be this week? 😫

I hope so!! 😭 Although if the interviews are really in January, they could wait until like the 16th of December to send invites

Someone above said the uni told them we would hear by the end of this week

I was in touch with them around the 20th of November, they said there’d be communication around the end of November or start of December, so should be any day now!

They are supposed to have a meeting tomorrow and will send outcomes after that through email or UCAS. Not sure whether that means we will actually hear from them tomorrow or later in the week

Has anyone applied before and know how interviews are offered? Is it through UCAS or is it an email?

I got my undergrad med offer by email two weeks ago so I'm assuming postgrad will be the same

"Our medical school is part of the Northern Ireland Executive’s approach to addressing this shortage of doctors and therefore priority is given to students who are ordinarily resident in Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland, with a smaller number of places for GB applicants. The number of places available for GB applicants differs year on year depending on the calibre of the applicant field. This approach has been taken to ease the workforce challenges in Northern Ireland and futureproof our health service."

In last year's thread, the GAMSAT cut-off was definitely higher for mainland students too

I spoke with them yesterday and they said the same cut off is applied to all applicants no matter where from, and that the prioritising of NI applicants occurs only after interview (which would seem fair enough) but I’m a little skeptical after reading last years thread…

I was also told interview emails should go out this week!
