Geography A-Levels; EDUQas vs AQA vs OCR vs Pearson

So I am going into Y11 and looking at sixth forms currently.

There is this very good sixth form for other subjects (physics and maths), however I also want to go for Geography.

Thing is, the exam board for geography is EDUQas, and I have never heard of this exam board before - I am worried there will not be as much resources online to do with EDUQas...

So I want to get an opinion from people doing this exam board, and compare it with other of youse who do other exam boards for geography...

Eduqas is a big exam board, up there with Edexcel so don’t worry about the resource thing, the school should give you plenty

Alright that is a relief!

I do not have good experience with my secondary school so I feel comfortable only when I self study... hence why I am looking for online resources...

Would you mind directing me to some resources for self-studying EDUQas Geography? I can definitely search online easily, but I want to see what other people use.

I didn’t do Eduqas Geography personally, but one of my A-Levels are Eduqas (I think economics) my advice would be, check with your teachers, I had a dreadful secondary experience due to the staff, but at the end of the day it’s their job and the least they can do is send you or email you a website, use the specification that should be on the exam boards website and if In doubt check for exam textbooks on Amazon!

sorry to hear about your negative secondary school experience, mine was terrible too, I felt like there was no end and my teachers fobbed me off on a number of occasions and always put me down but I ended up walking away with the highest marks and grades in the school for Language, Literature and History this year, don’t let them stop you from enjoying learning, when it came close to my gcse exams I took a few days off school for study leave as they inadequately prepared us!

Not sure the comparison with Edexcel stacks up. For Geography A level 2022 Eduqas 1,588 entries, Edexcel 13,224, WJEC is the primary examiner in Welsh schools where the specifications are different from the Eduqas versions in England.

Hey ik u sent this message a year ago but I thought I might ask you then as you mightve found some 🥲 Im in yr 10 revising for my mocks and I genuinly cant find any EQUDAS resources and my teacher isnt much helpful either my test is in a week and I havent even started 💀

Seneca Learning (I know I am not the OP but I have just finished my Eduqas Geography B GCSE.)
