BMAT harder than UCAT?!

I got average 627 (2510 full score) and Band 3 in my UCAT. My UCAT score isn’t the best so thinking about doing BMAT.

Is BMAT similar / harder than UCAT ?

Do you think roughly 4 weeks is enough time to revise for the BMAT and get a good enough to score to be accepted into e.g. Imperial uni; UCL; Brighton and Sussex Medical skl?

Also how would you recommend I do this, I literally don’t know anything about the BMAT and have very limited time, what would be the best method to smashing it in 3-4 weeks.

Should I use Medify like I did for ucat ?

Thank u

I say use medify. I did the UCAT as well but not the BMAT, so I’ve little knowledge on it as well. I just know that BMAT is harder than UCAT. Good luck with it!

You can’t compare completely different exams with completely different format.

You might want to spend longer preparing because there actual content you have to know.

BMAT website has everything you need to prepare. Don’t use Medify.

For my BMAT:
I didn't want to pay for ridiculously expensive courses that had no guarantee of working. So I bought a book with TONS of questions on amazon (i think it was like 25 quid?) and I practised them all.
3-4 weeks is plenty of time to revise for the BMAT in my opinion, if you use the time wisely.

I'll link the bmat thread for you here:
https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7211426

there's also lots of online free resources you can use.
I think that thread should help you a bit more

It has 3 sections: one is a bit like the ucat, one is bio, maths, physics and chem (gcse standard) and the final section is a 500 word essay  The first post in the linked thread explains more.

If you have little knowledge don’t give advice. Don’t buy Medify, there’s no way of knowing the difficulty either

What book was it that you used from Amazon?
Was it helpful?
How often (hours a day) did you revise for it a day?

Which free resources specifically?

Thank youuu

I cant seem to find the exact book but it was similar to this one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/BMAT-Practice-Papers-BioMedical-UniAdmissions/dp/1912557282/ref=sr_1_15?crid=195PLLGCYKZOX&keywords=bmat+practice+book&qid=1662486263&sprefix=bmat+practice+book%2Caps%2C359&sr=8-15

I'm not saying this book is amazing or its the only reason I got into med school, but it's a good start if you need practice questions

I only revised for one week so i pretty much just did it all day. I don't remember the exact hours I spent sorry. I would recommend like 2/3 hours a day if you have 3/4 weeks.

If you search up some resources, you should find some.
Here's some practice papers from the official website:
